Orly – Space Cadet
Sometimes purple… or green! or red! Depending on how the light hits the lacquer.
This is one of my favorites but the dry time takes a while. 3-4 coats, ~ 1 hour for my nails to fully dry.

cosmetic ARTS nail polish…. there are no names on my bottles ;_;
milani – gold
I was sent some sugar scrub samples from Island Breeze a while back and have been using this stuff for 2 months.
So far, no allergies and my skin has been silky smooth.
Which is great because my feet have suffered a lot of damage from summer flip-flop wearing!

The only con that I can see with this product is that you have to buy it in bulk… which means shelling out like $30-50.
They mainly target salons, so unless you want to share your scrubs with a friend or repackage them as stocking stuffers (which is a really cute idea!) I don’t know how many of you guys would be interested in this product.

^ I’ve been moving them to empty Olay moisturizer jars for easier storage.
The scents are great though!
My rankings for the scents (they all smell like delicious candy!):
1) Pomberry! <3
2) Wild Watermelon
3) Mango Papaya
4) Lemon zest
5) Fresh Pear
6) Cool Mint
I’ve been finding these great vintage hardcovers at estate sales + Goodwill for around $3.00 each!

Hollowed out with an X-acto blade and….

Ta-da! Book boxes for small treasures.
And my most recent project….

Glued on some findings…

Ripped out all the pages and glued in….

Fabric lining! Added some velcro so that it would shut. In retrospect, I probably should have sewed a flap so things don’t fall out… It took forever to finish sewing the inside! @.@ I really need to invest in a sewing machine…
Lastly, here’s my mini garden:

Basil, Marjaram, Dill, Green Onion and Cilantro!
We’re currently experiencing a heat wave here in Los Angeles… I hope my basil enjoy the sunshine! I didn’t photograph all of my basil pots but I accidentally grew too many (count: 20)! Those seeds are just so small.
Oh well. More pesto for me!

Tiny cilantro

Dill, Marjaram, Basil (to be transported soon!)

Green onion

More basil. I need more containers!
Hello everyone! I’ve been DIY-ing quite a bit lately (which explains why I have not been updating with nail deco very much!). Pinterest is so addicting! Anyway, I wanted to show you all what I’ve been making.
Pearl Spider pendent (tutorial by Shawkl)

Made with gold filled wire, Swarovski pearls, Duochrome Czech fire polished beads, seed beads and some other little beads that I bought in a grab-bag a longgg time ago.
The spider really creeped my housemates and boyfriend out. I don’t know… I think it’s pretty!
Up-cycled old earrings / necklaces to bracelets!

When stacked together.
Pouches with leather flaps

Sally Hansen Magnetic Nail Color – Red-y Response
I was lucky enough to get this for ~$3.00 after extra care bucks @ CVS + some other coupons a few weeks ago.
Magnetic polish can get pretty expensive! I believe this bottle retails for ~$9-10 at CVS!
For those who are not familiar with magnetic polish, the polish basically has iron powder in the formula so when you hover a magnet over a wet coat on your nail it will form a fun design.
